LIBERALS CAUGHT USING DODGY DATA TO JUSTIFY UNIVERSITY FEE HIKES
The Liberals have been caught out using dodgy data in an attempt to justify their plan to make it harder and more expensive for Australians to go to university.
A media statement, released yesterday by the Education Minister, Dan Tehan, tried to hide new data that shows humanities graduates have high employment rates.
Despite the Liberals’ claims, the latest data shows that, after three years of finishing university, humanities graduates have full-time employment rates about as high as science and maths graduates – both at around 87 per cent.
Scott Morrison will stop at nothing to deceive people about his plan to make to harder and more expensive for Australians to go to uni – including more than doubling fees for humanities degrees.
It’s about time Mr Morrison was honest. The truth is that the Liberals are jacking up fees for tens of thousands of students with no evidence to support it.
